Della Adventure Park, Lonavala – A Day of Thrills and Adventures

Nestled in the hills of Lonavala, Maharashtra, Della Adventure Park is an adrenaline haven. I recently explored this exhilarating wonderland, from Swoop Swings to ATV (all-terrain vehicle) Rides and indoor games. With over 50 activities, including India’s only Swoop Swing and the Longest Flying Fox, it’s perfect for thrill-seekers and family outings alike. The landscapes, the adventures, and the memories created – get ready for an immersive journey into the heart of Della Adventure Park.

Getting There

I have travelled from Pune and the journey to Della Adventure Park began with a scenic drive through the winding roads of Lonavala via Express Way. It took us 2 hours to reach there. Surrounded by the Western Ghats and the freshness of the monsoon air, the anticipation of a day filled with excitement kept the journey lively.

The Arrival and Experience

We have partially booked our ticket in advance due to lack of knowledge (please read “Tips for Planning Your Visit” section for more info). We were total 4 visitors, 2 adults and 2 Kids (12 years and 6 years). As we entered the part, we were greeted with a 500ml bottle of water and a wrist band. The entrance was very good. We have been informed that all activities are unlimited with just one condition that you have to come in queue each time you finish it and want to do it again.

Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a first-timer, Della Adventure Park has something for everyone. The park is divided into 6 zones (Zone A to Zone F). Click here for their official website: https://www.dellaadventure.com/

Zone A and B: This zone is perfect for families with kids. Some of the activities are Aqua Zorb, Water Zorb, Rocket Ejector, Bungee Trampoline, Rodeo Bull, Horse Trot, Dog Walk, Milking Jersey Cow, Double Seater Cycle.

**Please note, if anyone is planning to partake in the Aqua Zorb activity, it is advisable to bring an extra set of clothing.

Zone C and D: This zone has mostly indoor activities and are really good. Some of the activities are Shooting Range (Air Rifle – looks original), Hard Ball Net Cricket, Archery, Pistol Bow, Carrom, Chess, Dart, Table Tennis, Air Hockey, Pool Table, Virtual Racing Cars, Virtual Bowling, Virtual Boxing, Virtual Football and Foosball.

Zone E and F: This zone is home to some of the park’s most thrilling activities. Some of the activities are including the Swoop Swing, Artificial Rock Climbing, Broken Bridge, Rocket Ejector, ATV rides, High Rope Challenge, Vertical Rope Challenge, and the Rappelling.

In addition to its adrenaline-pumping activities, Della Adventure Park also offers a variety of other amenities, including restaurants, bars, and a souvenir shop. The park also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as music festivals and food fairs. After an action-packed morning, I replenished my energy at Cafe 24, there were total 4 Cafe’s in the premise, where a variety of gourmet delights awaited. From refreshing beverages to delectable snacks, the menu catered to diverse tastes which includes pure-veg to non-Veg and multiple varieties of drinks as well. The prices at all the restaurants were sky high. On an average the food for one person will cost you Rs600 – Rs 1000. As the day concluded, I couldn’t help but reflect on the myriad of experiences that Della Adventure Park had offered. The laughter, the screams of excitement, and the camaraderie forged during the adventures created memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Tips for Planning Your Visit

  • Book your tickets in advance, especially if you are visiting on a weekend or during the holidays. You can only book tickets for adults in advance, not for kids.
  • You will get a discount of 25% on “Day Pass” and 30% on “Jumbo Pass”. Kids over 4’6 feet will be counted as adults. If I had known this, I would have booked an online ticket for my elder daughter in advance and saved some money.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Take as much water as you can as one bottle of water at the park will cost you Rs.120 (a litre). There is a tapri outside the main gate which sells water for Rs20.
  • Take advantage of the park’s lockers to store your belongings. The charge were deposit Rs 250 and rent was Rs 250.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can move around in.
  • Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglass.
